Odds and fairness
How pack odds work
Every pack holds one graded slab. Each pack lists four tiers (Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary) with the chance of pulling each and its value range. The card you pull is a real slab, held in custody for you.

How the upgrader works
You stake cards from your vault (counted at their Collector Crypt insured value) and credits from your balance against a more valuable card. Your chance is your stake divided by the target's value, times 0.97 (a 3% house edge), capped at 95%. The wheel's arc is exactly that share of the circle.
Targets are cards other players have staked, our own cards, and cards listed on Collector Crypt. A listed card's odds use its insured value, and it can only be a target when its asking price is no higher than that value; if you win it, we buy it for you, and if it has sold in the meantime you get that value in credits instead. Before a bet the price is checked again, so the odds you see are the odds you play.
Every roll is provably fair. We commit to a secret server seed by showing you its SHA-256 hash first; each roll is HMAC-SHA256 of that seed with your client seed and a counter. When you rotate seeds, the old server seed is revealed so you can recompute every roll it made.
How staking pays
Staking puts a card from your vault up as an upgrade target. You earn 80% of the house edge on every bet on it: each bet pays you the bet minus the house's 20% of the edge. If a bet wins, the card goes to that player. You can stake up to 8 cards and unstake any time no bet is in progress.
How trades stay safe
Cards and credits in a listing or an offer are held in escrow, so they can't be sold, staked or offered twice. When a trade is accepted, both sides swap in a single step: either everything moves or nothing does. Declined, withdrawn, cancelled and expired trades return everything automatically. Listings expire after 72 hours.
Buying and selling cards
Cards listed on Collector Crypt can be bought through Cardinal for their listed price plus a 1.5% fee, shown before you confirm. A card you pull from a pack can be sold back within 72 hours at the offer shown before you sell. Any card in your vault can also be withdrawn to your own wallet.
Where the cards come from
Every card is a real graded slab on Collector Crypt, with its grading company, grade and cert number. Prices are live Collector Crypt listings, refreshed every few minutes; cards listed in SOL are converted at the current rate. Insured values are Collector Crypt's.
Playing responsibly
Packs and the upgrader use real money. Set a limit before you start and stop when you reach it. You must be 18 or older to play.
